Life is never easy but be happy anywayTourette's is a neurological disorder passed on genetically. A syndrome which comes with tics, both vocal and motor. Some are transient while in some unfortunate cases, chronic.
Higher percentage of tic prevalance occur in school-age children, common ones being eye blinking, coughing, throat clearing, sniffing and some facial movements. Very rare that it worsens through adulthood. And no, it doesn't affect intelligence nor life expectancy. However the syndrome makes concentration (as needed in school) a difficult task. A child who has tourette's will likely take double the time to finish a task but with patience and persistence, they do finish them in the end like a true champion. If I didn't know any better, individuals who have this syndrome is actually more intelligent than the average ones. Their intelligence and understanding is far reaching than one can imagine. Smile More. Love More. Be Deliriously Happy. Enjoy Life with whatever you have and whoever you are with. Look forward to tomorrow even if it is unknown, even if everything you have might be gone and everyone you know might disappear. Tomorrow is a surprise - AcousticChef
